Deeper. This word is to govern and gladden our hearts as it calls us to experience the mysteries of God’s love for us. 

Going deeper and drawing nearer – this prophetic encouragement for 2019 is not a regimen, an assignment, or a project. It’s not a religious obligation. It’s an invitation to taste and see how good God really is. It is an opportunity to experience the miracle Paul describes in 2 Corinthians 3:18 — “And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.”

Thus the Father’s prophetic word for our body is a gift. He beckons us not to do more or try harder, but to be with him. As we are simply with him, in a deeper way than we’ve yet known, our hearts will open and our healing will be upon us.

Thus the course is set for us: farther up and further in. Deeper. 

The invitation to do life together, to experience real community, is a reflection of the godhead itself: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all together, always together. Why would we, then, made in the image of God, imagine that we have the capacity to go it alone? Surely such thinking is madness!
