Spiritual formation may sound like something exotic or for the super-spiritually mature. The truth is, our spirits are being formed every day. We have a choice to make: will we allow the world to form us or will we apply ourselves to the work of cooperating with Jesus to conform our hearts to his? This group is journeying together in practical and biblical ways to cooperate with Jesus as given in Dallas Willard’s book, Renovation of the Heart.

Note:

This group is a continuation of a group previously started–new members are welcome to join for the second half of the book study.

Description:

Parenting is hard! Sometimes we parents make it even harder by putting too much pressure on ourselves to be perfect or by trying to go it alone. Other times, we just don’t know what to do–children don’t come with owner’s manuals, how-to guides, or warranties. With the abundance of (and often conflicting) parenting books and parenting models around, it can be really confusing and exhausting. This group aims to be a breath of fresh air to all parents. Based on a video series by the trustworthy and grace-filled Alpha Ministries, you will be sure to receive thoughtful, sound guidance on how to make parenting decisions that will create the kind of family life you desire. This group is for parents of children ages 0 to 18 and applies to all types of families and all types of parents. If you desire encouragement for your parenting journey, join us!

YOUTH LIFE TOGETHER

Sundays, 6:00–7:30pm (weekly)

Meeting Type / Location:

In-Person @ WMC Café

Start Date:

Join group October 4

Description:

Calling all 7th–12th grade youth! Youth Life Together is a place where we value questions about God, life, family, friendship, and more. We believe that unanswered questions are not threats; they are challenges and catalysts for growth. Our community of students and Leaders aim to create an open environment where students can explore their faith (or even the idea of faith) and let it grow naturally. We are currently exploring basic questions of faith through the Alpha course for teens. Once a month we have a fun social event. Sunday morning classes are not currently being offered due to concerns about maintaining proper social distancing.
